Fountain Prayer life

  • God loves to hear our prayers and delights to answer them, "Then you will take delight in the LORD, and he will answer your prayers." Psalm 37:4

  • Prayer is communicating with God through Jesus Christ, and making requests known to him, that we in our humanity cannot answer or fulfill, "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Phillipians 4:6

  • Prayer encourages the presence of Christ, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

  • There is an urgency for prayer in the church and world today and that dependancy on prayer is every increasing, "A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!" Psalm 143:1

  • Prayer brings healing and wholeness to mind, body and spirit, "My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.” Proverbs 4:20-22

  • It is a Biblical imperative that we pray, "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." Luke 18:1

  • Prayer creates intimacy with Christ and gives knowledge and wisdom to those who seek it, "God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted to you."  2 Chronicles 1:11-12

The Fountain church offers several prayer times during the week.  Please check out our church calendar for meeting times.
